What is an STL file
An STL (STereoLithography) file describes the shape of an object in three
dimensions using a mesh of triangles. It is the standard format understood by
practically every 3D printer in the world.
First things first
When you buy an STL in this shop you receive a digital file, not jewellery.
There is no shipping, no parcel, no box. You get a download link in your inbox,
usually in under a minute.
To hold the actual piece you also need:
- A resin 3D printer (or a print service that does it for you).
- Castable resin if you are casting in metal.
- A casting workshop that does lost-wax casting.
- Finishing: filing, polishing, plating if required.
If you have none of that, no problem: many designs let you pick the
"Finished jewellery" option on the same page and we ship it made.

Which software opens it
To print you need no design software at all: the file goes straight into
your printer's slicer (Chitubox, Lychee, Photon Workshop…).
To modify it, Blender (free), ZBrush, Rhino, Matrix or 3Design all work.
The editable file we include saves you from remodelling from scratch.
Quick questions
Can I print it in filament (FDM)?
Technically yes, but jewellery detail needs resin. On FDM the layers show and
fine relief disappears.
Does the file include my size?
Yes. Every design includes the full size range listed on its page, as separate
files. You do not pay per size.
Can I resell it afterwards?
The standard licence is personal use. To produce and sell pieces made from
our models you need a commercial licence: see licences.
What if the file gives me trouble when printing?
Write to us. Every model leaves the workshop already printed and cast, so it is
almost always a slicer setting we can sort out with you.
